LAW SCHOOL CHALLENGE
Congratulations to American Univeristy Washington College of Law, the 2010 Law School Challenge Winner!
Lawyers Have Heart invites Washington, DC area law schools to participate in the Law School Challenge, giving law students the opportunity to prove that their school has the biggest heart!
WHAT: All area law schools are invited to participate in the Challenge. The title of Law School Challenge Winner will be awarded to the school with the most points after the race. The team captain and top fundraiser will each win a prize package.
HOW: Contact Team LHH to register your school in the Challenge. Once you are established as your team’s captain, win points by encouraging your team to:
- Register to Run or Walk (each registrant is one point each)
- Fundraise or Donate (each dollar raised is one point each)
- Volunteer (each volunteer is one point each)
WHO: Area law school students, faculty, staff, or alumni are invited to register as a team captain. Then, build your team with students, friends, family – whomever wants to get involved!
WHEN: You can get registered for the Law School Challenge NOW and build your team through June. Race Day is June 11, 2011 at 7:30 AM.
WHY: LHH is a wonderful opportunity to volunteer, build your résumé, and get familiar with the 100+ law firms that also participate in the event! Also, the winning law school (minimum of 2000 points is required) will receive a plaque commemorating the victory, bragging rights for the year, and special prize packages for the Team Captain and Top Fundraiser. The 2010 package included breakfast with a Managing Partner of a top DC law firm, a certificate for a 2-night stay at a Washington hotel, a spa package at SomaFit Fitness Spa and gift cards to City Sports & Panera.
WHERE: You can participate in the Challenge from your dorm, apartment, house, library or classroom. Team LHH respects how busy law students are, so we make this as easy as possible for you. The Challenge entails sending out some emails (we can even send you the information to forward), making a few calls and asking friends and classmates to join the effort. We also invite you and your whole team to join us on race day for the run and post-race festivities.
